Disney Cruise Wish Food – Restaurant Dining Menu

The Disney Wish is currently the newest cruise ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. This 5th ship debuted with some new restaurants with new menus to delight families. Plus these Disney Wish Restaurants include restaurants with entertainment for dinner and a show! Let me tell you all about the Disney Wish Dining with lots of details pictures, as well as the Disney Wish Food Menus.

The Disney Wish offers a variety of sit-down and quick restaurants to give you plenty of choices while on vacation. You can eat at the cruiseline’s buffet Marceline Market during the day. You can also eat at the Festival of Foods at one of the 5 food stalls. You can grab a special brunch at Palo or take it easy and order room service.

But my favorite are the dining rooms that vary ship-to-ship. The Disney cruise restaurants are beautifully designed to transport you. They also provide exceptional service and serve delicious food in an enticing way.

With the exception of Palo and Remy restaurants, everything else is included in the cost you paid for your cruise. Disney cruises may cost more, but they don’t nickle and dime you once you get on! You can order as much or as little food as you want. Seriously, order every dessert on the menu – it’s okay!

I love Disney’s rotational dining. If you are not familiar, you will receive a dining time, table number, and restaurant for each night. The dining time will be either 5:15 or 8:30. You will also be assigned a specific table number and restaurant for each night. Check the Disney Cruise Line app for any updates on your dinner table number or time. Make sure to refresh the app before dinner.

When you go to your assigned restaurant you will be shown to your table and meet your amazing wait staff team including your server, assistant server (who takes care of your drinks), and if they are any good – the head waiter will stop by your table nightly to check on you. The next night you will eat at the same time, same table number, but a new restaurant. But don’t worry, the servers who already know your family and your preferences rotate with you!

We love the magic tricks and brain teasers they share nightly. They are also so good at getting to know us, our likes, and making us feel like family. It is a slow process to go through all the courses – if you order them all like we do. It takes us just about 2 hours. But then again, there is typically entertainment as well.

Disney Cruise Dining

If you don’t get your desired dining rotation when booking your cruise, you can attempt to get it switched once onboard. You will go, with many other guests, to the Luna lounge. Typically it begins at 2pm, but check your Navigator Ap for current times. We have had mixed results with getting a different dining time. Because we are a large family of 8, more times than not we are unsuccessful even though I am Platinum level. So don’t think they can always change it. Honestly it is so late, and I feel miserable going to bed after dinner, at 10:30 with a full stomache. I think I’m at the point where I would rather rebook a different cruise if I can’t get early dining.

But there are some advantages to late dining. First of all, if you like to sleep in, you will love staying up late and enjoying a movie under the stars on the funnel vision. You won’t have to rush back from shore excursions at the port to get to your dining time. The other big advantage is the line to get into the Walt Disney Theatre for show time is much shorter if you have the show first and 2nd dining rotation. That was a big plus!

One of my favorite things is to look on the Disney Cruise Line Ap and see the menu for dinner. It helps me to plan out what I will be eating the rest of the day, or even the previous day so I dont’ just eat all steak. They have a menu for all the major restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

1923

Located on Deck 3, 1923 doesn’t have characters or show, but it does celebrate Walt Disney and his brother, Roy O. Disney, and the golden age of animation. 1923 is named for the year The Walt Disney Company was founded. There are 2 different dining rooms: you will be assigned the Roy Disney or Walt Disney room. The food at 1923 features California flavors with the much anticipated Filet Mignon for dinner. I apprecaited the variety in the menu as opposed to the other ships.

The decorations around the dining rooms are different pieces of Disney animation and artifacts (some authentic and others not) on display from various Disney movies including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen II, and more. The rooms are more sectioned off which should make it quieter, but it wasn’t for us. The decor is much more subdued and although the sketches and models were nice to look at, they were too far from our table to really appreciate except briefly as we walked in and out.

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure

At Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, you get to dine while celebrating the engagement of Anna and Kristoff (right after the events in Frozen 2). This dining venue is a themed Restaurant located on Deck 5 of the Disney Wish Cruiseline. It is part of your rotational dining and is included!

What makes this dinner unique is there’s a stage in the center of the dining room. All of the tables sit around the stage, where live entertainment occurs throughout the meal.

Entertainment throughout the meal includes music and songs from “local” musicians including a violin, guitar,  and strong vocals, plus your favorite Frozen songs with Anna, Kristoff, Elsa, Wandering Oaken, and Olaf characters too.

The characters will make their way around the tables throughout the meal for a quick pass by, but they don’t stop and pose for pictures. The menu at this spot features Nordic-influenced cuisine and combinations of traditional Nordic flavors.

I don’t know how I missed taking a picture of the Carrot soup, maybe I was just too hungry! But let me tell you it is fantastic. I highly recommend it!

This dish is fabulous, one of my favorites!

This meat was fantastic! The double baked potatoes looks pretty, but I find the taste a little lacking.

Dessert menu for Frozen Restaurant on Disney Wish:

• Eplekake Hearty Apple Cake with caramel sauce and vanilla bean ice cream
• Norweigan Pancake with lingonberry jam
• Kvaefjordkake – rich butter cake with a side of baked almond meringue and sweet berry compote with edible flowers
• The Troll Family make the best dessert! Rich chocolate cake made with pistachio, broken up cookie rocks, and a garnish of hibiscus meringue and raspberries.
• Citrus-Almond Cake – lemon almond cake served with not-too-sweet buttermilk ice cream, garnished with an orange fennel topping
• Elsa’s Coronation Sundae has mint chocolate chip ice cream, marshmallows, whipped cream, and sweet snowflakes

Marvel Restaurant

Avengers, assemble! Worlds of Marvel offers “world-class cuisine”, all while following Ant-Man (Scott Lang) and The Wasp (Hope Van Dyne/Pym) during their first public-speaking engagement on behalf of the Avengers. Of course, not everything goes to plan during the dinner thanks to some “Ant-Man-style hijinks” and misfires. Courtesy of the many screens stationed around the restaurant, a particular villain even shows up, along with a few other familiar faces.

Each table has their own Quantum Core that uses Pym Tech to shrink and grow targets, all with the push of a button. The “show” is funny and super cute cute as a towel animal swan is enlarged by “accident” and you use your canister on your table to engage with the show. The rest of the meal you will see tech inventions from Marvel on the screen with some clips from movies. It is a lot more tame than when it first came out!

As per Disney, you’ll be able to try a “diverse array of dishes from around the globe,” inspired by Wakanda, Sokovia, and the Avengers’ home base of New York City. Personally we found the meal to be a mix bag, and not our favorite choices. But the whole experience was phenomenal.

Towards the end of your meal Spiderman visits the restaurant. He will go through every dining area and say hi, but he does not stop to pose for pictures or sign autographs. He goes FAST!

• Appetizers – Smoked Salmon, Steamed Fluffy Bao Buns, Hearts of Palm raw fish, and Crispy Breaded Shrimp
• Salads – Classic Tomato Salad or Iceberg Wedge with candied pecans, bacon, and blue cheese
• Soup – Kartoffelsuppe creamy baked potato soup or Cream of savory mushroom soup

• Particle Key Lime Tart – key lime cream, raspberry jelly, whipped lime frosting
• Namo Dobos Torta – pretty layered cake with rich chocolate truffle cream and perfect caramel
• Cheesecake Byte – fresh berries, strawberry jelly, whipped cream
• Pym Doughnut Meets a Sundae – sweet milk ice cream, nutty brownie with pecans, caramelized sugar fudge sauce, mini-donut with a chocolate glaze, and fluffy whipped cream.

Disney Cruise Pirate Night Food

Pirate night is a big deal on Disney Cruise line. If you are on a 4 night or longer cruise you will eat at one of the restaurants again, but this time with an all-new pirate menu! The servers dress-up, pirate music is playing, and it’s a lot of fun! Don’t miss the Pirates IN the Carribean deck party and fireworks!

• Bread Service – Johnny cake with mango dip

Pirate Night Dessert Menu:

• Bounty Fruit Cobbler – with vanilla Ice Cream
• Bananas in Paradise – layered banana bread with hazlenut fudge filling, served with banana spice puree
• Rum Soaked Chocolate Cake with raspberry glaze and whipped cream
• Pirate Treasure Sundae with coconut pineapple ice cream, pineapple, whipped cream, and florrentine shard
• Caramel Macademia Nut Cheesecake Tart with whip cream and caramel ganache

This dessert looked pretty enough, but no matter how they tried to dress it up, basically it is pretty dry banana bread.

This cheesecake and the sundae were probably my favorite.

Disney Wish Casual Dining

Marceline Market

Marceline Market on the Wish is a buffet on a cruise line. It was inspired by Walt Disney’s hometown in Marceline, Missouri.

It offers food stalls for breakfast and lunch. The venue is in the back of the ship on deck 11. They do not serve dinner, which is a bummer if you are looking for dessert in the evening other than soft serve ice cream.

Breakfast is typically served from 7am-10:30am. You will find some basic offerings at the breakfast buffet on the Wish including: scrambled eggs, hashbrown cake triangles, fried tomatoes, bacon, sausage, eggs benedict (with ham or salmon), quiche (this is super yummy with a buttery crust), fresh fruit, pancakes (1-3 varieties), Mickey waffles, made-to-order omelets, Kellogs boxed cereal, yogurt, selection of breakfast pastries, granola and yogurt parfaits (love the Mile High Mango), fried rice, dried fruit.

To drink they have an assortment of juices: apple, orange, cranberry, and bounty harvest (which is a delicious mixed fruit – highly recommend). You can also get coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, and soda.

On other ships they offer churro mickey waffles, blintz, fritatas, etc. I found the selection to be a little basic and it doesn’t really vary day-by-day. Again, they only offer 3-4 day cruises so maybe they don’t feel the need to vary it up much. I also found each pod served basically the same things with the exception of the shorter kid station, dessert area / granola station, and the omlet station at the back of Marceline Market.

Lunch is typically served from 12-2pm only. You will find a selction that varies somewhat daily but expect charcuterie boards, rolls, several premade salads, chicken teriyaki and broccoli, rice, carved meat of some kind, mashed potatoes / other type of potato, other vegetable, maccaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, french fries, fresh fruit, and selection of desserts including jello cubes.

To drink you can help yourself to the complimentary soda such as Coca Cola, Sprite, Gingerale, Diet Coke, Poweraid, Vitamin Water, sugar free lemonade, coffee, tea, water, and hot chocolate.

I also felt like the offerings were pretty basic and uninspired. The carved meat was good and the desserts were a welcome sight even if you could only get dessert on the cruise for 2 hours!

Contrary to what this lovely picture I snapped at almost 2 pm would indicate, this area is always crowded. The layout is beautiful, but doesn’t allow crowds to move through as effeciently and we seem to never be able to find a table. I highly suggest eating at a sit-down restaurant or Festival of Foods instead!

Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods

The Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods is a fabulous addition to the Wish. I love the variety of food choices, served with style! There are a vareity of quick service restaurants all themed after the fab five. Seriously, whoever came up with this concept was genius!

Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue

Mickey’s Smoketack Barbecue serves BBQ food on a board. I’m not sure why this place never seemed crowded because the food was delicious and not-your- boring-lido-deck food! You can ask them to fill up your platter with Smoked Brisket Carving, St. Louis Pork, Smoked Chicken, BBQ Smoked Pulled Pork, and Smoked Kielbasa Sausage. Then pick your side dishes include Baked Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, Sweet Potato Fries, Texas Jalapeño Corn Bread, and several salads like potato salad, coleslaw salad, macaroni salad, and more. What was missing was dessert!

The food looked good and tasted pretty good. It isn’t going to win any awards, but it was yummy and satisfying.

Donald’s Cantina

Donald’s Cantina is our favorite. I’ve felt like Disney Cruise line was missing some delicious, crowd-favorite Mexican food for years. Think of it as a Chipotle a la Mexican Donald.  You can have them build-your-own tacos, burritos, and bowls! You can get your choice of fajita beef, fajita chicken, pork carnitas, cilantro rice, poblano cinaltro rice, jasmine rice, black beans, pinto beans, or fajita vegetables and a choice of guacamole, salsa, sour cream, queso blanco, or a Mexican cheese blend to top it all off!

Then to the left of the stand is a cart with over 9 different kinds of salsas and pico! I was in hog heaven! From mango jalapeno to pineapple pico, green salsa, and more you are sure to find a couple flavors to satisfy. I do wish they offered tortilla chips – which would be heavenly with all the yummy salsa and make a great snack. Plus some sort of Mexican dessert option would be nice.

Daisy’s Pizza Pies

Instead of Pinnochio’s Pizza, this ship has Daisy’s Pizza Pies. This classic, kid favorite is a staple on every cruise ship. The pizza is good enough, not Palo quality by any means, but it is good. The menu features prosciutto pizza, four cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, margarita pizza, and plant-based sausage.

Goofy’s Grill

If you are looking for some good-old-American food for a lazy day poolside, you will love Goofy’s Grill! Grab some yummy grilled food such as hamburgers, cheeseburgers, an Impossible burger, hot dogs, plant-based sausage, grilled bratwurst, and chicken tender. You can also grab french fries, potato salad, maccarni salad, and some other options on the side.  The fries tended to get hard pretty quick, but they were ok. I do wish they offered apple pie or cookies as a dessert option.

Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream

Any Castaway Club member is familiar with Disney’s deliciuos soft serve. It is just better, and with more flavor options than any other cruiseline that we’ve tried. In other ships it is called Eye Scream (from Monsters Inc). But on the Wish, keeping with the Fab 5 theme, is is Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream. There is always choclate and vanilla soft-serve ice cream, but daily there are other special flavors such as blueberry, strawberry, mango, banana, and somtimes others. They will serve you the flavor or twisted flavors in a cone.

Looking for something a little healthy. You can also grab a piece of fruit here such as an apple, pear, or banana.  They don’t open until 10:30 which seems late for vacation, but I guess they can only serve us so much ice cream a day. It usually closes by 10pm.

In addition there are bars, concession stands, and coffee shops that charge extra for premium offerings. Finding out the drink of the day is always a fun way to try something new and fun.
