Quick service magic kingdom

There are a plethora of magic kingdom quick service restaurants to choose from when you visit! Our current two favorites are Sleepy Hollow and Pecos Bills.

sleepy holloyw chicken and waffle sandwich or nutella and fruit filled waffle in magic kingdom

Sleepy Hollow

From delicious sweet waffles to savory chicken and waffle sandwiches, there’s something for everyone at this cozy eatery. Make sure to try the iconic Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle, you won’t regret it! We love the sweet and spicy chicken waffle sandwich that is big enough to share! Plus they make their own hand dipped corn dogs, housemade potato chips, and cute Madame Leota Cupcake. Trust me, you’ll leave feeling satisfied and ready to tackle the rest of your day at the park.

The only drawbacks are the limited seating, all outdoors, and that you won’t want to go anywhere else for lunch the rest of your trip.

Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn & Cafe

Grab some grub in this old west saloon known as Pecos Bills is in Frontierland between Tianna’s Bayou (aka Splash Mountain) on the way towards Pirate’s of the Carribean They serve burgers, fajitas, burrito bowls, tacos, salads, and nachos. My kids love sharing nachos or filling up on the burrito bowl. What really makes this counters service special is the ample indoor and some outdoor seating. I’ve never come hear for a meal and been disappointed to find no seating. Plus on a warm day the rustic, air conditioned atmosphere hits the spot!

Now that I’ve shared my top choices at MK, here are the other choices:

  • Pinocchio Village – Feast on Italian favorites at this quaint cottage inspired by the classic Disney film Pinocchio in Fantasyland near It’s a Small World. The restaurant serves flatbread pizzas, casear salad, and chicken strips. While the food never excites us, the indoor seating and sections of tables overlooking the small world boat launch is nice.
  • Tortuga Tavern serves Mexican food just across from Pirates of the Caribbean. We like to share one of the large taco salads although there is limited seating.
  • Cosmic Rays is the place for indoor seating and a classic burger, nuggets, or chicken sandwich. Kids will enjoy the Audio-Animatronic alien “lounge lizard” show in the center seating area.
  • Columbia Harbor House –  If salmon, shrimp, fish, and lobster is your thing then don’t miss this little gem tucked in-between fantasyland and The Haunted Mansion. This is a frequently overlooked restaurant with lot of indoor, air conditioned, seating. Even if fish isn’t your thing, grab a drink and the Boston Cream Pie.  (Some dining plans accepted)
  • Casey’s Corner – Swing by this quick service joint by Adventureland! Grab a seat if you can and soak in the live piano tunes while munching on classic American hot dogs, nachos, and cracker jacks. Drawbacks are the limited seating, with half of it being outdoors, and you have to like hot dogs. Try the footlong hot dog and Chipotle Barbecue Loaded Fries. (Some dining plans accepted)
  • Friar’s Nook  is the spot if you are craving some delicious comfort food for the kiddos in the Fantasyland. Treat your little ones tokid-favorite hot dogs and creamy mac and cheese while enjoying the view of the carousel from their limited outdoor tables.
  • Diamond Horseshoes is conveniently located in Frontierland.  Although this restaurant is only open seasonally, guests will be delighted by the varied menu including Turkey Sandwiches, Pork Brisket, Tuna on Croissant, Salads and more.
  • Golden Oak Outpost is in Frontierland between Pirates of the Caribbean and Tianna’s Bayou. They serve chili cheese frieds and chicken strips. Not a very elaborate menu, and no seating, but it will get you fed if you are in the area.
  • The Lunching Pad – is under the people moer in Tomorrowland. If you are looking for a meal, they offer hot dogs. But if you are looking for a quick bite to eat they are a descent choice. Check out their Sticky Bubble Bread for breakfast, Mike Wazowski Cake, or Mickey pretzel later in the day.
  • Main Street Bakery is at the end of main street closest to the castle and on your way to Tomorrowland.  Sounds cute and quaint, right? Well it use to be, now it is the home to the parks Starbucks. People love their specialty coffee and this location is always hoping with a long line. If you do pop in, in addition to your favorite hot or cold drink, grab a mickey cinnamon roll.
Animal kingdom park with cst form the lion king show

Quick service Animal kingdom

With a shorter opening time, we like to take full advantage of snacks and the best quick service animal kingdom options to maximize our time in rides and on animal trails! Here are our our favorites:

flame tree bbq quick service meal at animal kingdom in disney world florida

Flame Tree BBQ

The Flame Tree restaurant at Animal Kingdom is right to the left of the tree of life, on your way towards Dinoland. This is always a favorite with our family because of the yummy choices. You can soak up saucy views as you smack your lips to an assortment of smokehouse meat and chicken dinners—served alongside our signature baked beans and coleslaw. The only real drawback is all the seating is outside, although there is ample seating with views of the lake, just go around to the left and keep walking!

HINT: Ask for onion rings instead of fries and grab the yummy and adorable flamingo cupcake for dessert!

Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse at Satu'li Canteen

Satu’li Canteen

You will need to mobile order or go straigh to the line to be allowed in the restaurant – you cannot send people ahead to secure seating until you have your food. This ensures you will have seating when you get your food. The ambiance and food are truly something unique and special. Try one of the yummy entrees of tender, wood grilled meats in just the perfect seasoning or famous Bao Buns that taste like a cheeseburger, plus save room for the beautiful and fantastic desserts like chocolate mouse and blueberry mouse creations.

Take a peak at the opther quick service meal options at AK:

  • Harambe Market is a cute African market quick service close to Kilimanjaro Safari. Try the Beef and Lamb Kofta Pita with housemade chips, a Chicken Rice Bowl with chermoula-marinated chicken on jollof rice with kachumbari tomato salad and tzatziki sauce, or a Harambe salad with quinoa, grilled corn, black-eyed peas, crispy chickpeas, and a chermoula-herbed vinaigrette. Unfortunately, all the seating is outdoors so I find I’m too hot to choose to eat here.
  • Restaurantosaurus is tucked in Dinoland serving burgers, hot dogs, nuggets, or salad. The best part, this is one of the few places to eat an indoor quick serving meal in Animal Kingdom. So if it looks like rain or is dreadfully hot…. make a bee line for lunch here.  While most of the menu is pretty mundane, dessert is not – grab a S’moresosaurus Shake or Everest Cupcake!
  • Yak & Yeti use to be a don’t miss, but their drastically paired down their menu and now it’s just an option. Grab a hamburger, ribs, Honey Sesame Chicken, Sweet-and-Sour Tempura Shrimp, or vegetable masala at this outdoor location close to Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids.
  • Pizzafari is a comfortable restaurant in that serves chicken parmesan sandwich and pizza. Your family will enjoy the indoor seating while looking for the hidden Mickey’s on the camouflage animal painted walls.
  • The Smiling Crocodile does not accept the dining plan, but offers chicken or port street tacos and chips and salsa for $10.  Plus the Guava limeade is super refreshing. You can find it on Discovery Island.

When figuring out where to grab a bite to eat at HS, a lot of it will depend on where you want to hang out – in Galaxy’s Edge with the amazing Star Wars themed areas, with Andy in Toy Story land, or in the rest of the park. Plus some of the best Disney World restaurants are at this park so you may be using your meals to try some of these, but here are my top recommendations and a list of all the quick meals at Disney’s hollywood park.

quick service meal of chicken and waffles with bb8 cupcake at backlot express in hollywood studios disney world florida

Backlot Express

This restaurant is still themed from back when the park was more about making of great movies, so I expect this restaurant will be updated eventually. For now, I love the props throughout the restaurant. It has a good amount of indoor, airconditioned seating and outdoor covered tables as well. It is conveneniently located by Star Tours, next to where the old Jedi Training use to take place. The food is slightly more interesting than the run-of-the-mill choices including smoked BBQ pulled pork sandwich, terriyaki chicken bowls, cuban sandwich, cheeseburgers, southwest salad, and star wars themed desserts . The desserts vary but have included Wookie Cookies, Darth Vadar Cupcakes, BB8 cupcake, and others. Another perk of this location is the self serve drink machines making it a great choice to rehydrate and replenish those electrolytes if you are fading in the Florida heat and sun.

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

This unassuming location is a real surprise inside. You will feel like you are in the hub of a star wars shipping restaurant. Not only is it a fun themed place to eat, but this location has some more unique entrees if you are tired of park food. This restaurant close to the Millenium Falcon has menu items like Batuuan Beef and Crispy Topato Stir-fry, Smoked Kaadu Pork Ribs, Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip, Fried Endorian Chicken Tip Yip, blueberry corn muffin sides, outpost puff for dessert, and te refreshing Takodana Quencher drink.

Fairfax Fair

This location is opposite the Beauty and the Beast theatre. Although is easily missed, and only offers outdoor seating, it offers a delightfully unique menu. Whether you’re a sweet or savory lover, check out the waffle bowl filled with mouthwatering buffalo chicken bowl, indulgent bacon mac and cheese, or flavorful barbecued beef brisket. Plus grab a Belle Cup of Enchantment (with boba balls) or the beautiful Enchanted Rose dessert that looks like a rose! It’s almost too pretty to eat!

Woody's Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box

This is one of my favorite quick serve places. Not only is it in the heart of Toy Story land, but the location lets you sit on “babybells” amongst the cute toy furnishings. It is outdoor and there is limited seating which is a little stressful, but their food is worth it! Our favorite is to mobile order breakfast of raspberry lunch box tart (aka pop tart) or breakfast bowl with a good-size portion of potato barrels smothered in smoked brisket country gravy, and scrambled eggs. Then we eat while we wait for our Genie+ to ride Slinky Dog or Toy Story Mania.

They are also open for lunch where you can grab a grilled three-Ccheese sandwich, BBQ Brisket Melt, or Totchos (potato barrels coated with beef and bean chili, cheese and queso with corn chips and sour cream).  However, personally, I feel like lunch is not quite as impressive and not as great a value if you are on the dining plan.

quick serve in hollywood studios

  • Catalina Eddie’s accross from the Beauty and the Beast theatre serves pizza and casesar salads. It’s a quick way to grab dinner and sit outside before a show. Dont’s miss the Toffee and Coconut Blondie.
  • ABC Commissary is a convenient eating location near Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.  While the menu is somewhat unimaginative, the air conditioned setting and self serve drink refills make it a convenient stop. You will find pork carnitas, salads, Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and steak fries at this local.
  • Anchors away at Dockside Diner by the big dinosaur on Echo Lake! Step back in time to the 1950s with our California-Crazy architecture and mouth-watering menu. From the Pretzel Hot Dog to bacon mac and cheese, we’ve got all your favorites. And don’t miss out on our out-of-this-world Princess of Alderaan Shake!
  • PizzeRizzo took the place of Toy Story Pizza planet. I was sad to see the predecessor go, but seeing as though the toys have their own land now, it made sense to retheme it to the Muppets as the Muppets in 3D theatre is facing the restaurant. There is nothing truly unique or special in-my-opinion. But it is good pizza and lots of seating in the air conditioning or outside. There is even more seating upstairs.
  • Ronto Roster has the fun “robot” rosting a bird. There are a handful of tables next to the robot to enjoy a Ronto Wrap with roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, peppercorn sauce, and tangy slaw wrapped in pita bread or simply  enjoy the “show”.  Personally, it wasn’t my favorite food, but the Tatooine Sunset is yummy.
  • Rosie’s All-American Café is also across from the Beauty and the Beast show and offers quick grab burgers, hot dog, and nuggets along with outdoor seating. Nothing particularly unique or intresting, but handy if that’s what you are in the mood for.
  • The Trolley Car Café is the Starbucks location in Studios. It is at the end of the main entrace towards the Mickey and Minnie Railway ride.

lightening mcqueen topiary at Epcot flower and garden festival in the spring at disney world

Quick service Epcot

Epot has so many amazing places to eat! You will want to spend several days in the parks just to enjoy some of their amazing options from character to dining to unique table service meals, quick service options to fabulous food stand sweet and savorit snacks. Epcot has yet to bring back some of my favorite eateries, but there is still one don’t miss plus lots of options to save you walking. For more options see best dining in epcot and best character meals at disney

Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

Hidden Gem Alert! Step into a little piece of France at this quick service restaurant tucked away behind the gift shop. Indulge in savory quiches, gourmet sandwiches like Croissant Jambon Fromage (ham, cheese, and bechamel on a croissant), Brie au Pommes (Brie, Apples and Cranberries in Multi Grain Bread), and Poulet au Pistou, along with a sweet selection of pastries to satisfy your cravings. Seating is cozy, but nothing beats enjoying your meal outdoors in the serene gardens nearby. And if the many, many decadent pastry selections for dessert weren’t enough, don’t miss L’Artisan des Glaces next door for the best ice cream you’ve ever tasted!

  • Connections Eatery is next door to Starbucks’ Connections Cafe, between the Spaceship Earth and Mission Space, but has nothing to do with it. Here you will find chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, salads, and pizza with ample indoor seating and self-serve drink stations. While the manu is pretty bland, the Liege Waffle is pretty yummy!
  • Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris is in the way back of the park near the Remy ride. The line gets pretty long and moves slowly, but you get to choose from sweet or savory crepes such as Bechamel, Cheese & Ham Galette or Red Berries Crêpe with the wonderful atmosphere in this new neighborhood.

Quick service Restaurants at Disney Springs & Resorts

As yummy as the park food is, sometimes you want to get out of the hustle and buslte and just hang at your resort, or explore a new resort! Here are some of my favorites.

Earl of Sandwich (Downtown Disney)

Earl of Sandwich (Disney Springs)

If you can judge a restaurant by how crowded it is, you’ll be able to tell that this is a very popular quick service option!  Guests will enjoy traditional and creative sandwiches like the Holiday Turkey, Caribbean Jerk, Chipotle Chicken Avocado, or a delicious salad and wraps. The desserts are simple cookies or brownies, but who has room for dessert after their mouthwatering sandwiches!

NOTE: I wouldn’t head to Disney Springs just to eat here, but if you happen to be in the area, this is a great option. Plus it is by the older area – Downtown Disney with all the Disney souvenir shops that are still my favorites.

Explore the top-rated quick service restaurants in Disney World, featuring delicious food options, convenient locations, and budget-friendly prices. Find out which restaurants made the cut based on guest reviews and ratings.
